Warmoth or BHefner?

So, I am pricing out a build for a Telecaster/'51 P build, and it seems that the best options for neck and body are going to be either Warmoth or BHefner (I'll be doing the wood finishing myself, but other than that buying things premade. I figure either go Warmoth and have the body all drilled out, or go BHefner and have a local guy mount the bridge and dress the frets.

Suggestions as to preference and why?

Looking at the prices I would go Warmoth. I have a bass with a Warmoth neck that 20years old and still perfect. Everything with the other company was an up charge.

Prices are about the same net. Hefner is a few bucks less, but will not drill the bridge.

Not familiar with Hefner, but recently did a Warmoth build. I was fully expecting to have to do a fret dress and cut the nut, but it was all perfect when I received it. I only wish I could have gotten a 7.25" radius. Other than that, no complaints at all with Warmoth.

Everything on the neck is an option, like fret level and dressing. Stiffing rods were $55 bucks but come standard on Warmoth. If it was me I would go Warmoth. You can everything bolt on ready it sounds but not with bhefner.

But the Warmoth only has nitro finish available, and I've read that nitro finishes can get feeling sticky in the heat. BHefner has satin urethane finish, and optionally no stiffening rods, which would be more like a Fender neck.

Remember warmoth does'nt do a square heel neck pocket like the tele bass has.Only the rounded style.
