* WARNING* EBL AA rechargeable's are OVERSIZED !!

So I ordered the EBL AA batteries (shown below) from Amazon having done extensive research on which are the best AA hi-capacity rechargeables. At 2800 mAh, these were tops and received great reviews about ratings vs actual charge.

One PROBLEM !! They are OVERSIZED for AA's and basically UNUSABLE in any wireless body pak that has a tube-style battery compartment (Line6 G series, Carvin, Audio Technica, Galaxy..)

You have to PUSH them in.. and they are EXTREMELY DIFFICULT TO REMOVE !!
(needle nosed pliers + screwdriver in my case) Not a task I would want to attempt mid-set or even between sets!!

CAVEAT: They DO work/fit in other devices such as TV remotes (that I tested), or (I assume) any device that has a top-loading battery compartment such as this.

Wanted to share in the hope that others may avoid the same disappointment.
I will keep these for use in other devices I have, but I will have to re-buy for my wireless stuff... probably the Eneloops or more of the Energizers...

And.. in fairness.. the AAA's that I also ordered fit in anything I had that used them!

Wow, that’s a curiosity. Are they too long, or too fat?

They are too FAT for the tube-style containers. They don't slide out when you tip the device upside down, you have to PULL them out.. which is hard to do when only the tops are available and you cannot get a hold of anything to pull with.. hence the pliers.

AGAIN... They DID FIT every other device I tried them in that had the drop-in style compartments.

Sometimes you can peel off the outer plastic jackets to make batteries thinner.
Write on it with a sharpie what it is. Put a check mark on it each time you charge it.
