Warwank streamer jazzman

Being a big fan of the spector feel, and the musicman/thumb sound....I decided to give this a shot since it was priced right to take the shot.

Now...I am a big fan of the MM/thumb sound, but have not been a fan of the warwick necks. What to expect here? Will this approach a good MM'ish sound? How are the necks? Sorry....anticipation is driving me up a wall.

Here's a snapshot....anyone got any audio clips?

I can't speak for the tone, but I can tell you all new Warwicks have slimmer necks. Not that I think they ever had particularly big necks, but yeah... anyway. The $$'s have been a pretty big seller, probably because of the MM's ...so I'd imagine Warwick are doing something right there.

PS I'm just going to pretend you didn't say 'Warwank'...........

I have the 5 string version of this bass and I have always adored the thing. It thunders like nothing else in my arsenal. The bridge pup tends to be a good bit hotter than the neck and is much more aggressive sounding, in a good way, but the neck pickup has a really sweet roundness to it I find intoxicating. I'm used to the Warwick necks and switch basses so often it doesn't bother me at all so I can't help you there. If it makes you feel better, I can comfortably and easily switch from a 19mm four or five to my 16.5mm Jazzman 5.

In the mix, they tend to be very powerful and very growly. Typical Warwick but with more fury. They cut but they support, they slice but they mix well. I love mine and can't say enough good things about it. Love yours sir. Love it.

+1

The Warwick Streamer Jazzman 5 is my main bass, and I love it.

I tend to agree the quote posted above.
