I had one, an old '93 Pro-Line that I had replaced everything with Bartolini stuff, a NTMB - 3 Band onboard and 9J1 pups. Very modern sounding. Been more into passive Jazz bass lately but I remember that little bass killed, sat very well in the mix. I sold it because the string spacing is so tight.

Go active preamp. I find my Corvette $$ to be dark and mid heavy without the preamp to brighten it.
