Hey guys
I have searched the forums to the best of my ability and have not been able to find a direct and conclusive comparison between these two models specifically. I apologize if it exists and I wasn't able to locate it.

I'm from India and the availability of instruments here is limited. Thus I have boiled my choices down to these two models.

I have a few question that I will try to list out below:

1) I read some things about the output volume of both of these instruments being weak, can anyone confirm or deny this?

2) Which one would be tonally better suited for a drop G# tuning? (G# D# G# C#)

3) Is the Corvette $$ is for $465 and the Streamer Standard is $340, is the corvette worth the extra $125?

4) I have read the Streamers are more balanced in terms of weight distribution and neck dive when compared to the Corvettes. Is this true?

5) In your opinion, which one would you buy for a metal band?

6) The store also has the Corvette standard($465) and the Streamer LX ($395) but they both are available in a finish that I don't like so if either of them is objectively a better than these two models, could you please explain why so?

7) I have access to a used Ibanez SR300 for about $255. Is that worth considering instead of either of these?​

This will be my second bass, my main being an MIM Fender PJ which I use for another band which is on drop C#. The setup on that doesn't allow me to tune down to drop G# without making it unplayable. I plan to use the BEAD strings from a 5set on the warwick to achieve the drop G# tuning.

I once again apologize if these questions have been done to death but I really respect the opinions and helpfulness of this community and was hoping to get some direct help in my quest.

I have an older German Warwick Steamer std 5 string and a newer Rockbass Streamer std 5-string. They are some of the most comfortable basses I have ever played. However, I can confirm that the stock pickups have a low output volume. On my original German Warwick I replaced the pickups with EMGs and i have been happy with the result. I plan on doing the same to my rockbass steamer in the future. I also have several corvettes (not double $$ though) and I don’t consider them as comfortable to play.

Here is my Rockbass Streamer Standard. I love how the neck pickup is positioned more in the middle so that you can get a nice twangy tone without being too close to the neck.

I tried one of these not too long ago, it's very similar in sound to the Ibanez SR500 which isn't too surprising given the fact that they use similar Bartolini pickups and also possessing a 3 band EQ but it didn't have the same wonderful neck of the SR500 (Jatoba/Bubinga), it was comfortable nonetheless and a pretty decent bass but probably wouldn't be one I would choose given other choices we have here within that price range.
I've owned a Rockbass Corvette, didn't really bond with it as much as I thought I would- I found it a little too mid/treble-centric ,not enough lows and just didn't like the sound of it. This is all a matter of personal preference mind you, you may like the way it sounds, all our opinions may and often differ here on TB. I did try a Streamer too on a lark as it was on sale at a local store and found the output noticeably weaker than that of other basses. Thought it might have just been the particular bass I tried, but later read opinions on the bass and how others have also found the output weak. I remember reading a post where someone mentioned he had the pots replaced to increase the output and was happy with the outcome, I'll see if I can find it. Here it is.
Maybe someone else can confirm what ohm pots they put on the Streamer.
