Telling which just a nut is pretty simple to do.
JAN1 is brass with individual string adjusters in the forum of a slotted screw.
JAN2(made of Wilferite) has a tab on each end,that eventually snap off during string changes.
JAN3(made from Tedur) similar in look to the JAN2 but without side tabs.
Re.Serial numbers.The letter denotes the month of manufacture.eg.A= January,B=Febuary with the exception of the letter I.& as stated above,the last 2 digits denote the year.
