Warwick Streamer question

Hello All,
This question is for the Warwick fans out there. What is the difference between a streamer stage 1 and a streamer stage 2? There is one for sale in my town from 1988 and to me it looks like what a current model streamer 2 looks like but its listed as a streamer 1. Also, is it true they were handmade back then? Here is some pics if it helps.

the pickups say Stage II but the Body Wood says Stage I. I think back in 88 they just had one Streamer model.

Anyways, that thing is SO rare, if it's not too expensive, I would buy that thing in a hearbeat. Go for it!!

When you get it tell us how it plays.

in '88 there was no Stage I or II, only the "Streamer" and if you're htinking of buying that then go for it cuz that is one rare bass you're looking at...people would pay top dollar for that thing...it's a hell of a bass..i have the Stage II and it's the best bass i've ever played, and i think i'd trade it in a second for that bass

Yea, looks like a cross between a contemporary stage I and a stage II. maple NT + 2 bartolini jazz pickups. These were handmade, and are a Warwick Collector's wet dream.

How much do these go for those days? It looks in great condition too.

It looks like it's maple, so even if it were just a Streamer, it looks more akin to the stage 1. The differences are the Stage One is mostly maple, w/ Wenge stringers in the neck, where the Stage 2 is exotic hardwoods - I think Wenge/Bubinga neck and an afzelia body (or something like that). If that is a decent price BUY IT! Old Warwicks are awesome.
