Washburn AB-20 Serial Number Location?

Trying to find the serial number on my Washburn AB-20, 4-string. It has an Equis II EQ, which says it was made in England. I opened up the back and didn't see anything behind the backplate of the controls, the back of the headstock, can't see into the soundhole because of the thin slats, and looked in the battery compartment by the jack. Thanks for any ideas.

I have an AB 10, which looks very similar. About 30 years old. The serial number is permanently printed/stencilled on the rear of the headstock, below the E&G tuners. Above it is a sticker stating “made in Korea”

I was able to get through to Washburn/ KMC Music and we were able to figure out I have a prototype or sample model that was manufactured sometime in the early 1990s (likely 1990 or '91). Thanks again, David
