Hello, first time posting here, but I really need some help. I just bought this bass off of Craigslist for 40 dollars, repainted it, got new knobs, and it came out decent. However, the wiring was totally screwed up, and I have no idea how this thing gets soldered back together. I purchased a battery and a connector to hopefully get the active pickups to work. Can anyone offer some insight?

Hard to tell much from a picture but ...
wiring looks older/original with no obvious breaks or looses ends. That would lead me to think the wiring is correct. Of course that is a optimistic guess. So if it was me I would get my ammeter out and the check continuity of everything I could get to. I would get on google and find a wiring schematic for that bass or one of similar design. Source parts such as the switch just in case.
If you are not concerned about original wiring , rewire it. Piece by piece , test then move on. hope that helps

You are right, that wiring has been redone by some one who is inexperienced. It is a mess. I would replace all of it. Even if you got this working, those pots have clearly been over-heated, and resoldering them will only make things worse.
Are the pickups original?
What value are the pots?
It looks like a preamp has been removed and the pickups have only two wires each, so they aren't active. This means that the battery is not needed.
That switch wouldn't have been in a bass originally. Plus it has no wire to its middle lugs, so it will do nothing as is.
I would just rewire this as passive VVT or VBT. Just put a dummy pot or switch in the spare hole, or whatever. There are thousands of threads about what to do with a passive bass that has four holes.
If you are new to soldering, depending haw far apart the holes are, you might be able to cheaply buy a prewired jazz bass plate, transfer the pots and simply solder the pickup wires to it.

i have a black washburn b10, im running F#,B,E,A strings,its awsome,had it since 1991,my wires look similar,just a heads up the output jacks are stereo,ypu can still use a normal patch cord,great bass
There isn't one. Its active pickups with standard pots as opposed to the usual passive pickups with active EQ found in most "active" basses.
