Washburn Status Series 1000 S70-FL

I bought this Bass a coupe of months ago.
I don’t play but searching online and through AI (Chat Gpt, copilot etc.)

It seems like i got my self a
Washburn Status Series 1000 S70-FL

For a while it got me thinking it was a Status Graphite but pics show it is probably a Washburn

Is there anyone here that have seen one like this before in black?

I had a red one that was fretted. Found in a pawn shop that wasn’t really sure what to do with it. Anyway, these were done in a partnership between Washburn and Status, using Status parts and design, but built by Washburn in Asia, if I recall correctly. Washburn also had a more traditional bass, part of their Mercury series, I think, that also used Status pickups and preamp.

Interesting bass. I'm guessing it's been de-fretted rather than "born that way". A friend has had a Washburn electric guitar since forever while other guitars come and go so I guess he likes it.

The FL in the name standanfor fretless i suppose
however the info i find states that this model only came in natural.

It doesn’t look like the board has been modified. But as i don’t even play this is a ”Guy guess” (as we say in swedish)

I will sell it it would be a shame to leave it in the closet…
