Watcha Being for Halloween?

Nice, what college do you go to? and what instrument?

I will be playing Friday night in the marching band. We always dress up for the Halloween games. Any ideas for good costumes that I could wear while playing a sousaphone?

You could be a sousaphone. I mean you're pretty much wearing it when you play it. Or you could be one of the things from Aliens and have a Face Hugger pop out of the bell.

(btw, sousaphone is great. When you play off the field, do you do any kind of moves with the tuba?) At my school, the sousaphones and basses do alot of moves whilst playing. it involves rotating and kind of swinging it.

That is a good idea, I could have a monster or something jumping out of the bell. :D And yeah, while we play in the stands then we do horn flashes, and do the Thriller dance when play it ( very difficult to do while playing, and I knocked out our bari sax player already this season). :p During Land Of 1000 Dances and the Hey Song, we get really intense and basically flip our sousaphones around our shoulders while wailing out quarter notes as loud as we can :D ( when all you get is quarter notes you have to find some way to make it fun)

Oh dear sweet odin, the Hey Song? 'F' for nearly the whole song. Basses do 'the bump' which is kind of like swinging the bass while doing a slight hump. :p
