Double Bass Weak E string on my SB80

No actually, I have never heard my bass being played by somebody else. Interesting....

Sounds like a good idea. Anybody know the best way to get in contact with him?

I guess this also brings up the question of how often do I need to bring my bass to a luthier? Am I going to have to repeat this every winter and summer?

Considering you play about 10,000x more than I do, that seems about right. Isn't it expensive though to get a new sound post twice a year? Please forgive the "newb" questions, but that is pretty much what I am when it comes to URB.

Not a new post every year, you have winter and spring posts made and they should be good for a long time, until the bass changes shape... I've had 4 posts for one bass made over the last 30 years, and two for the other that I've had a few years now.

Ah, ok. Very interesting. Thanks for your help in this matter. I'll probably get in touch with Robert MacIntosh soon and see if he can give my bass a once over.
