Weed Whacker Strings?

Maybe I'm reading this all wrong - ( http://www.talkbass.com/forum/f101/weedwacker-strings-eub-862933/ ) - BUT - are they REALLY saying these are the same as Weed Whacker strings?

Or is it just a name of some sorta manufacturer's product that is CALLED Weed Whackers?

I used them on my URB for a while. They are actual weed wacker material (nylon?).

I believe they are called weed wacker strings because that's what was originally used when Rockabilly players were fooling around with nylon.
