I would love to have lights on top of mains. How do they attach? Homespun solution?
I just use Chauvet CLP-10 clamp. on the top handle.

Acoustic acts (ethnic Cajun, Irish, singer/songwriter), a few rock bands, some jazz combos.

XR18 w/router
2 Sennheiser wireless in the same rack
3 QSC CP8 monitors
Either split snake to the house or 2 QSC K12
Various close and area mics

Would love to go IEM but we have a large rotation of players and people expect an ‘unplugged’, chamber vibe from most of the bands.

We use a pr of YAMAHA 12" with a horn speakers with one side of a YAMAHA powered board. We run 2 monitors of the other side and another 2 monitors off the monitor send to a Fender Rumble 500 head. We also have a QSC 18" sub we use outside to mic the kick drum. As for lights, we have four of these little disco lights we put on the floor and let them react to the sound. https://www.amazon.com/Changeable-M...5a02ae&pd_rd_wg=g1MRX&pd_rd_i=B07CQLGW1L&th=1

Hmm, okay. It's not huge but it works in our small world situation.

The board is a Mackie ProFx16 with built in effects.

All our PA speakers are powered and have been very reliable over the last few years. We are a 3 piece, cajon/bass/guitar, and all of us sing.

-2 subs/each 500 watt Behringers with pole mounts for tops
-2 Mackie 12" Thumps/1000 watt each
-1 Behringer 500 watt monitor
Guitarist and I each use Shure Beta 58 mics with phantom power. I honestly don't know what brand of headset mic our lead singer/cajon player uses but we also use a Shure kick drum mic that sits inside her cajon on a foam insert.

As for instruments. The guitarist and I both bring two guitars to each gig. He has a Line 6 combo and I use either my Fender Rumble 100 or 500 depending on the gig. Carmen has her cajon and a portable riser she carries.

As for lights? I have 3 sets of Chauvet 4 Bars and one Tetra Bar 12. Control for 2 of the 4 Bars and Tetra 12 are with a Tetra Venue controller with a footswitch. The other 4 Bar is older and the it's DMX capability isn't as functional as the newer pair so that runs on it's own footswitch.

We allow an hour for setup and sound check and usually packed out within 1/2 hour of when we start work at gig's end. The real fun is the adult version of Tetris I get to play to fit all that gear into my Ford Edge for transport. I own almost all of it and run it at a gigs. The concept of a sound or lighting tech or house sound being provided is completely alien to us.

Not a technical item but our band logo was designed by my two older kids who made the banner and each painted one of my parts-basses.

Looking forward to doing the hauling/setup/gig/teardown/hauling dance at tomorrow night's gig. :D

Community SLS920, 1 or 2 per side, on stands, 250 Hz and up. 500W per cab.
12" midbass cabs with Eminence Kappa Pro woofers, 80-250 Hz. 500W per woofer.
18" Ciare Neo woofers in bass reflex cabs. Up to 3×18" per side. 28-80 Hz. 1200 W per woofer.
12" Yamaha Club Series for monitors, 4 of them.
Everything QSC powered, 1804, 3602 and 5050s.

Nice and loud rig, for its age and money, but it takes longer to set up than powered cabs.
The Communitys will outrun anything powered 12" I have heard so far, but are heavy. Using 2 per side is for coverage, not SPL. One 920 will easily keep up with most dual 18s, incl JBL SRX.

For small gigs, we simply put 2 of the Yamaha 12" monitors on stands as vocals/kick/keys PA, and use the other two for foldback. Also a good setup for our needs.

My PA for the 5-piece band
Mackie PRO22FX mixer (analog)
(2) Peavey 118 subs
(2) ION powered tops (15+horn)
Peavey PV2600 power amp (lows)
Peavey PV1500 power amp (mids and monitors)
DOD electronic crossover
(2) Kustom "tuck & roll" 4x8 columns (added for larger venues, outdoors)
(2) Peavey PR10 monitors
(1) powered Hotspot monitor (for lead vocalist)
(1) EV ZLX-12P powered speaker (drummer monitor)

Most components are considered "old school". but so are we ! The only new item is the Mackie mixer (recently purchased) Would like to have newer and lighter equipment, but most of the components were purchased at ridiculously low prices, and we have wheels on almost everything, and we have a trailer with a loading ramp - so all is well !

6 piece cover band - 2 guitars, bass, keys, drums, lead vocals
For most of our club gigs:

QSC TouchMix30
JBL PRX 12 tops
JBL PRX 15 subs
Sennheiser wireless IEMs
Shure GLXD wireless mics
2 light trees, 2 floor wash lights
2 small multifunction lasers
Several small led cans for spot/accent light

For larger outdoor shows we’ll use JBL 2-18 subs and JBL 15 tops. For festival scale stuff, we use it all.
