Weird cab jumpering issue.

Ok, so I've got an Avatar B212 and an Avatar B410. Both are 8 ohm cabs, so I'm jumpering them to get a 4 ohm imepedence. With my amp going to the B212 and the be212 going to the avatar, it sounds great. It's very obvious both cabs are handing their share of the load and they sound terrific.

Today, I thought I'd try them seperately just to compare them for someone who is thinking of getting one or the other for their bass rig. The B212 doesn't work alone. When I run out of the 8 ohm tap on my amp directly into the B212 alone, it doesn't work.

What could be the problem?

Please define jumpering? There are two ways you can electrically connect them...series and parallel. Which is it?

Does the 212 work when you use the 410?

Yes, the 212 works when I'm jumpering from the head to the 212 to the 410. Alone, however, it doesn't work.

The thing is, I ordered the Avatar 212 and they sent me the wrong impedence cab. I needed an 8 ohm and they sent me a 4 ohm. So instead of sending the cab back to avatar, I asked them to send me the speakers and input assembly. They're really good to work with, so they did. It made it a lot easier for shipping and stuff. Anyhow, I replaced the original speakers and input panel and it works when jumpered, but not alone.
