Weird question for the Bass Guitar side (EUB content)

I have had a NS NXT4 for many years, playing bluegrass and jazz on it. It is very portable (I drive a Miata) and plays well, 41 scale. The attack, sustain and decay are very similar to a DB (IMHO). It works better with synthetic strings to deaden the solid body, I use Obligatos. I also use a Radial pre, ToneBone OD, what you need is something with a high impedance input, a hpf is also good to have (newer "a" versions have a built in pre). A good cab (more hifi) is also helpful. Does it sound and play exactly like a DB? No, but in a live setting it does work. Overall it is a well made instrument that has held up well. I have been OK with the tripod stand and no body but I do not have much DB experience. More info on the DB side but ALOT of comments from DB players who do not like EUB's. Sorry I do not have any experience with the Ergo.
