What a good punk song to learn(hard)???

Axiom- Rancid

When you have agot a general feel for punk, learn some simple stuff, ie blink 182. Then you can begin to experiment with fills and so forth.

Punk is good for a beginner learner IMO, the progression show them the patters on the fretboard, and gives them a *basic* idea of shape and keys.

i just learned time bomb by rancid last week. i think it's a great song to learn for lots of reasons. great groove, well chosen notes, somewhat challenging... but most importantly: when i first learned it i was all over the neck and it was like doing calastenics. i then realized that the entire song can be played in 2 positions - verses on the 2nd to 5th fret, and choruses on the 4th to 7th fret. played like that using one finger on each fret it's a great scale like exercise and lotsa fun to play.

if yer playing with a pick all ramones songs are real easy to learn, and great practice for the downstroke only punk method of playing :).
