What are ur other hobbies??

Building, racing, and daily abusing imports, mostly turbo. Here's my current daily driver:

1991 Nissan 240SX Super Hicas (all wheel steering, sr20det, etc).

Realy thats awsome, I work for a nissan dealership and I had the honor to drive the 350z nismo last week, that thing is sweet.

I am a professional trumpet player (when I get gigs, that is) classically. I have been playing for over 12 years now, and yeah, it doesn't really pay the bills, but it got me into college.
Currently in college to be a music teacher.

I like cooing, movies, traveling, but music is really all I love to do.

Nice S13! I've got a '97 S14 that will be receiving an LS1 swap in a few years. (I live in NY so SR/RB series motors are illegal due to lack of OBDII). I swapped in a manual tranny (auto= :spit:) and LSD to tide me over until I can afford to do the LS1 at least. Gonna hit Watkins Glen a few times this season, it's only about 40 miles away from me.

My other hobbies (which are mostly idle due to raising a family) include skateboarding, snowboarding, shooting, and sailing.

NICE! I saw some pics of one of that that got wrecked in Atlanta. It was quite a shame!

That's the crappy thing about 1996+ cars...the whole OBDII compliance. I guess it's also a good thing that I live in a county that doesn't do any kind of emissions or physical inspections. We can pretty much get away with whatever we want down here.

I'm really not a fan of the LS1. I think that generally, anything made by GM is a complete piece of crap. I'd much rather put a RB25 in a s-chassis (considering you can get complete motorsets for a little over $2000 now). Then a bigger turbo, Power FC, injectors, and a good tune...and it'll crush any LS1-powered car.

But for something that is a daily driver (like mine is), the SR20 is the only way to go. I have A/C, power steering, a smooth idle, I get 24/29mpg city/hwy, and parts for it are everywhere. I think I spent $2000 on the motor set, and about $200 on everything else to install it (including a crappy ebay clutch, which I'm about to replace). You really can't beat that. I guess it also helps that I live 15 minutes from JHOT and don't need to pay any kind of shipping/freight for a motor!

serious recreational road cyclist

Me too & I compete in time trials etc. I got knocked off June last year & still have whiplash which makes cycling painful but the upside is I have had more time to rejuvinate my career as an internation rock star! Ok ok, I play in church & in a band at work for fun & occasional gigs. I'll hopefully get some compensation soon, so should I blow it on a new bass to replace my ancient plank, or a bike to replace my best one that got all bent up?

Cheers,
Russell
