What are your thoughts on this alignment?

The strings as a whole appear to be shifted to the treble side of the neck. Is this a setup issue or do you think something else might be wrong including wrong placement of the bridge or a twisted neck?

I’m considering buying this bass and would like some input on whether there is a mortal flaw from what you see or what I ought to be extra diligent about in looking over this bass when I see it in person.

Thanks in advance!

Yeah. I'd see what happens when you put the strings back in the proper place on the saddles. Maybe the saddles were removed at some point and put back on backwards? It's definitely a try before you buy situation. Worst case, I'd say the bridge isn't centered properly. But before jumping to that conclusion, get the strings properly on the saddles and make they'll stay there. You can always replace the bridge...

Tell us more about the bass. What exactly is it?

This is a Warmoth neck and body. Paint has some relicing as is the hardware. Wilkinson bridge, Schaller tuners, SD pickup. Looks like a nice bass as long as there aren’t major issues like neck warping. See my post just above with the neck removed to see if there appear to be issues there.
