What bass do you plan to get next?

I would love an Ibanez Talman TMB600. But there's nothing in the budget for it and I've never owned a bass that cost more than $200. I might have a hard time convincing the wife to get on board, especially considering that I currently own three basses.

I'm running out of "must have" basses. About the only thing in my collection I'm lacking is an electric fretless. I've owned a few... but they're all gone now. I'm pretty sure this is next on my list. Maybe even this summer:

Just wish it were unlined. For some reason unlined fretlesses are more fun for me.

Next up will be an American Standard P-Bass in Oly White, w/rosewood board & aftermarket Spitfire tort guard.
I normally play Spectors with my original metal band, but the other night I played my Mystic Red Am. Std. P, and it was absolutely killing it, so I figured it would be nice to have a 2nd one for backup & alt. tunings.

Next I'm getting a Rondo Hadean solid body bass uke to modify into a Fender Jaguar style bass uke, a Jaguarlele. More than likely I'll have a new body made.

The only bass that I think is 'missing' from my collection is a P-bass. I'm still on the honeymoon with my T-bird and I can get a suitable P-bass(ish) tone out of it, but I want something I can put flats on and not feel like I'm hampering the instrument. As far as brand, I'm not too particular... I really like the Squier CV '70s P that I played at GC a couple of weeks ago:

I just wish it came in another finish besides black. I already have a black Tele, a black Jazz, a white T-bird and a dark 3TS Jaguar, so I want my next instrument to have some color... Like CAR or LPB... even a natural ash body with a nice grain pattern would break up the monotony.

I'm a big SX believer (and compulsive modder) so I've been thinking about getting one of these:

But then, I'll want to get another neck with a maple fretboard (blocks and binding would be nice too, but not absolutely necessary) and a more attractive headstock (or something I can re-shape). Not to mention replacing the pups and electronics.

Most likely my next bass will be a Precision with a maple board. Not sure what model I'll go with but it will be a Fender. Regardless, I won't be getting another bass again for some time now, perhaps a year from now but most likely a few years down the road.

Either a lefty 34" scale hollow-body bass (not a semi - hollow; full hollow-body), or a lefty Flying V bass; any scale, any p/u configuration. I need both to complete my herd. In a perfect world, that would be a Gretsch White Falcon bass, and a Kramer XKB-10 Lumie. Not much chance of either of them happening along any time soon, but I'm hoping...

Well I've added 3 since the beginning of the year. 2 trades and a buy. A MusicMan Sterling 5HS, a Sterling Ray35 and a 1982 G&L L2000E so I'm kinda set at the moment. However, I am loving the G&L so much I might pickup an SB-2.
