What bass is right for me?

Hi sorry I'm quite new to these forums, but actually a lot of them helped me with some decisions. :help:

Ive been playing bass for pretty long now and have been trying to go around a lot of style and techniques of bass. I have found to love really fast finger picking (maybe not billy sheehan but this sort of fast pace idea.) and a kind sound using a lot of harmonics (Portrait of tracy kind of jaco) and slap incorporated

But I want to buy a new bass, I have an Ibanez soundgear as my first bass and I wanted to know any suggestions on a new bass.
Any help would be really nice.

Sorry if I broke some rule or put the thread in the wrong place :(

What's wrong with the Soundgear Ibanez? What version is it? You could get harmonics, slapping et rest with most Ibanez Soundgear basses. --Kent

I have the cheap soundgear, the 199$ ones. There's nothing too wrong with it, Ive just been working lots and I have good money, I just was looking for a new bass to buy. Any bass can slap and do harmonics I just want to know what bass fits the whole soft tone.
