What basses have neck binding??

Hi there, I am a huge fan of neck binding, but the only bass I ever recall seeing with neck binding was a Rickenbacker. For some reason, I feel that neck binding seems to add to the quality of bass (my own opinion). Anyways, I am certain that there are other that do it. If you know of one or some, could you please post what they are so I may investigate. Thanks!

Some fenders and squiers have it. You can custom order it on necks from warmoth. Some schecters have it as well.

The 70s reissues, as well as the Squier Vintage Modified Jazz have binding.

Laklands, even some Skylines, such as the new 44-60 (former Joe Osborn) Custom, can be ordered with blocks and binding. I am a big fan too.

The Squier VM Jazz basses do (fretted) the Fender MIM 70s Classic, Fender Victor Bailey, Fender American Vintage Series 75 RI Jazz bass. I might be missing some more of Fenders offerings.

I'm sure there are other makers doing the same but its slipping my mind at the moment

I agree, it really dresses up the look. I can understand that a bass isn't s'posed to be dressed up and pretty, any more than a high hat is. But I still like the look

I am looking to buy a new bass, and would like to get one with some neck binding. What are everyones thoughts on the Squier basses mentioned above? I'd like something that I could gig with and record with.

my SRX650 had neck binding

The VM jazz is definitely gig and recording worthy,especially if some money was put into the electronics. But even that,not necessary.
