Im picking up a bassman 250 head and was wondering if anyone had any suggestions on what kind of cab or cab combos I could pair it with. Any feedback would be appreciated!

One high-quality 1x12 with horn. 8ohm.
Buy a second one if you feel the need. Use one or two, modular rig, easy to lug around.
If he has to hang with a loud drummer and guitarist, no way a single 112 is going to keep up. Even two would be a stretch.
I played with drums, guitars and horns for 150 people on a bar with a single 1x12 by Schroeder. Band members were telling me the bass was too loud.
I was using a 500W amp, but still... A pair of 1x12's from Schroeder will get louder than most 4x10's you know.
There's a reason for the "high-quality" on my previous post.
And not knowing his budget, a recommendation like that is kind of useless. We still need more information.
Im playing in alt/indie band, two guitars though 212 combos, I'd like to to be punchy and loud enough to play bar shows with out pa support. Transport isn't an issue, I have a truck. And im on a budget, so something I dont have to take a loan out for lol
I'd say I dont want to go over 500.

Any chance a 4x10 might do the job?

An Ampeg won't...
A mesa might...
GK RBH, Schroeder, Epifani and Bergantino, probably.
Why wouldnt an ampeg work? What qualifications do you attribute your statement to?
I've played the head through some used low end 410s at guitar center. A gk and an acoustic. Both 8ohms. I got a good tone, but wasn't able to get a lot of volume out of them when turned them up. So I guess I'll probably be satisfied with 2 410s or an 810. I feel like two 410s would be easier to transport lol
Quieter than the other ones I mentioned.
I've owned/own all of them, BTW.
Sorry to say, but reading the whole thing I believe you need another amp. There's only much this head can do.
what wattage range would you recommend?
