What cabs do you 6string players use?

I use 6 string in all genres from jazz to church to heavy metal...I'm still looking for a cabinet that remains punchy and well defined in the low range. Portability is a big factor too.

My main amp is a Little Mark 800.

What cabs have worked for you ?

My big cab is a fEARful 1212/6 and my little rig is an Epifani UL2-310, either would fit your description. The fEARful is flat allowing you to shape how you like but the Epifani has a modern sounding mid-scoop so pretty much everything sounds great through it.

When I was playing 6-string bass, I started with an Acme B2, but moved to a fEARful 12/6.

Audiokinesis 112. It's a perfect cab for my needs. There are definitely more options for extended range these days. Many good choices. The AK works wonders for me.

GK NEO 4x12 does everything for me.

I would think the 2x12 would be a better fit for most venues!

The only difference for me now is that I use a GK Fusion 550 amp head!

My neighbor gigged his six string through my fearful 12/6 last weekend. Vocal only PA, so the amp had to carry the room. Sounded glorious and full the whole time. Lots of compliments.

I do audiokikesis TC112 for small and medium stuff, and Tecamp M212 (I run a tecamp Puma 900 head) for bigger and louder stuff. All the others mentioned already would be great too. I find the tecamp gear to be extremely versatile and it has very clean, hard hitting transients. The chest kicking thump, if you will. One day I want to build a fearful f212 or maybe a pair of f115s.

only two kinds of Cabs I like are Accugrooves and Fearful. for what you do a Sub is a good idea.. I would screw with other cabs as it's a waste of time.

I use a Mesa Powerhouse 4x12" but I modified the changed the wiring by Sommercable speaker cable, and changed filters caps by mundorf caps.

With this modification, the Tweeter is sounding much better, you can actually use it!

I also use headphones for practicing, Sennheiser HD650 and AT M70x.
