What came stock on Sire Z7?

Really liked the strings that came stock on my Sire Z7 which I bought in January. Anyone know what they’d be?

Sire uses D'Addario XL (reg/light nickel wound I think) on their basses. I know both my 4 & 5 strings came with the D'Adarrio tag on one of the tuning pegs. I think the gauges are 45 - 105 for 4 strings, 45-135 for 5 strings.

One way to know is to check the ball end colors. Gold-red-black-green (with purple for low B) = D'Addario.

I believe as of recently that Sire has partnered with DR Strings and on all new models they are now using DR Dragon Skin + strings. But yes, they WERE using D'Addario before.

D'Addario Nickel Roundwounds 45-65-80-100. I emailed Sire and that is what they told me.

45-130 on the 5 strings, had one of the first Sires when they became available.

I dont know what came with Z7 back when this question was asked but as of later in 2025, Sire says (and I received on my Dec 2025 shipment) that it comes with Dragon Skin+ Quantum Nickel
