Last Spring I borrowed this bass to play in an impromptu show at a resort. I loved the color which I think is Champagne Gold but photos I’ve seen reportedly of Champagne look much more gold that the guitar I’m playing. Did Fender make a gold metallic lighter than Chanpagne Gold? Thanks for the help.

Olympic Pearl?

It's available on Mod Shop but haven't seen it on a standard model in a while.
I was going to say Olympic White like my '82 Jazz but those pearlescent reflections/glows on the edges were throwing me off. My Olympic White Jazz is close but doesn't have those pearlescent reflections in the edges. Olympic Pearl makes sense. I wonder how it will age. My Olympic White Jazz that I bought in 1985 in mint condition was just as white as pickguard when I bought it. It has aged gracefully over the last almost 40-years. I'd be curious to see if the color changes and how the pearl reacts to it if the color does change. I think it looks cool!

Yep, Blizzard Pearl. I snagged a new 2008 back then that was on a blow-out price at GC. A GC employee out West tipped us TB'ers off the the special pricing on that color only.

I immediately went into my local GC to see if they had any in stock. They had two. I played them both, grabbed the one I liked best, and took it up to the counter. The employee went to ring it up and got a confused look on his face. I asked what was wrong. He said, "This can't be right. It's coming up at $699 with case, or $599 without. That can't be right for an American Standard." I told him that based on my "research", it was a special blowout on that color only. He was amazed. I told him there's one more back there. He said he was gonna' go snag it himself as soon as he finished ringing me up. :smug:

Hey - could be Blizzard Pearl? Possibly Shoreline Gold but it looks more pale than that for sure
