Probably late to this thread, but I am quickly becoming obsessed with these basses. I got interested in them because I really like the idea of the Thunderbirds, but I can only afford the Epiphone models and when I pick one up it feels very blah to me. They look awesome though. So when I saw the Kellybird I was intrigued.
When I got it it did exhibit some neck dive, but I knew that was going to happen. Easily fixed by affixing the strap button on the neck heel, and now it hangs perfectly. It actually hangs better than my JS3V concert bass that I got shortly after getting the Kellybird. I will be acquiring more as they seem to be dropping in price, probably because not too many others care for them...
