if your going to direct out for almost every gig is it worth it to have a 250 watt amp? cuz i just bought one and i never even come close to turning it up half way. Was it a waste?

No way is it a waste! The combo obviously has enough power to serve you well at the moment. Also, just because the volume knob is at a certain level does not mean you are necessarily using that much power. It's merely a knob that allows power to go to your speakers - very unscientific, I know! But it makes sense to me!
NO waste at all. I'm SURE there will be a gig where you DO need it's power at some stage & you'll be glad U have it!!
