from what I understand (2nd hand knowledge), there's a health issue that prevents him from playing right now. he might get better, he might not, who knows.

I don't feel its prudent to expand on the situation of someone's health, especially when it's not from a direct source, so I can only wish Joel Quarrington the greatest congratulations on earning that spot.

It's very tragic. Rinat is great, but then again, so is Joel Quarrington, so I don't think that the bass section will miss a beat in recovering.
