What have you learned from Talk Bass?

seriously, I learned from my teacher that a bass amp 'connects' or resonates with the floor. Majority of the time it is a good thing. I learned on TB that some amps resonate in a bad way. I play at a jam & use the house bass amp but resonates in a bad way with the floor. I would have to turn the bass tone down for it to quit the 'rumble sound. Someone on TB mentioned tilting the amp back to help this. So I raised the front of the amp a few inches & resolved the issue.

I've learned that sooner or later, this place is going to cost you money, probably a lot of it.

ZERO gas for like 20 years and then all of a sudden Boom! about three grand gone.

well..almost twenty years. There was that Sweet Demeter HBP1...and the Sansamp...and that second sansamp. Oh yeah, and that Avalon DI...the SWR Sm500...and the Sadowsky PJ5, can't believe I forgot about that

Ive learned that...
I move too much on stage.
I way over play all the time.

I really should at least try some kind of fender.
That i will never know as much as most .

I would probably still be killing myself schlepping a TNT130 if it weren't for Talkbass. Talkbass has opened my eyes about the possibilities for having amps that are easier to move around.
