What is a good bass for me

i play a lot of blink 182 pluss 44 paramore but i also play country walking bass lines blues but mostly blink 182 pluss 44 and paramore so my question is wht bass is good for me

price range?, color preferences? wood? you seem like a fender p guy judging by the music you play, and as cliche as this next sentence will be, it is so true, so go to a local music store and just try out basses (and btw dont judge basses by their looks as most people do with guitars, theres much more than meets the eye)

my price range is anything under $1000 i dont have a color preference as long as it sounds good i prefer a maple neeck witha rosewood fingerboard (fretboard) wht ever u want to call it

Not really a bass man (yet), more of a rhythm guitar man. I originally picked a couple of my guitars by looks but ULTIMATELY had to play them before a purchase. Sometimes even a "production" guitar stands out from an identical model, for the better OR for the worse. mY teacher, an ex-traveling gig man tells me he truly likes the way I purchase. Try a fender P/J or An Ernie Ball MM or Bongo. All good basses with a variety of tones. Just going and playing will REALLY help you decide on what you want!

try just a standard P-bass. if that sounds too tinny for you it's time to panic because it doesn't get too much warmer than a P-bass.

An Ernie Ball stingray/sterling would also be a good bet.

I know the paramore bassist, and mark hoppus, have both used EBMMs and P-basses as their main axes at some stage.

It probally sounds tinny because of the new strings... try some different ones out and if you do end up with a P bass try different strings.

id suggest you try out various Jazz & P Basses & the Music Man Stingray or Sterling.

Play a bunch and see what you like... then, maybe, look for the same thing used on the classifieds here to get it in your budget.

ASeymour Duncan Quarter Pounder P-Bass pickup is too tinny sounding? Perhaps what you need is a better amplifier.
