Myself and a friend got to sit with Kate Schellenbach in a laundromat while she did laundry after load in interviewing her pretty much the same way. Rock and roll is often just that glamorous.
A million years ago I used to work for a radio station in Boston, I was just a street teamer, driving the van and handing out stickers. I was working out front of a concert at the Paradise, I forget who the main act was, but OK Go was the opener. After their set, Tim Nordwind, their bass player, came out front and asked me where the nearest Pizzeria Uno was so they could grab dinner. I thought that was hilarious because they’re from Chicago, the home of real deep dish pizza, but I guess Uno scratched the itch when they were on the road. We shot the sh*t for a few minutes, he was a very chill guy, very funny.
