What is Fender thinking???

Unless I am missing something, there’s a very clear reference to cocaine on the headstock of this guitar.
Riiiiiiight

Anyway. I'm guessing they were thinking "I bet there are a dozen Police fanatics who will drop $12k on a custom Andy Summers guitar."

I might add, I don't usually care for signature instruments. But if you're going to do one, that's the way to do it. Otherwise, a sunburst and scrubbing off some of the finish? ***snore***

Great taste in camera gear. IIRC that body/lens combo goes for close to 10K already.
Dramatically overpriced, the lot of those Leicas. I've owned a few, and some friends have, too. Nice cameras, but Leica is seriously banking on their name, have been for a few decades, now. Starting with the M6 they have cheapened the parts quality inside the camera, severely.

Young people A)don’t have that kind of scratch, B)don’t know or care who Andy Summers or the Police is/was, and C)play guitars

It’s baking soda left over from the CA glue headstock crack repair.

Folks at Gibson see an infringement of the LP design.

It’s whatever you want to see. My grandpa would see baking flour spilled on the headstock of his new bass, and he’d yell at my Grandma about it.
