The note on editing resulting in color changes is hard to overstate; live stage lighting is generally obnoxious. If she was under decently natural white lights, that's a minor miracle for the photog.

Also I just pre-ordered this bass and it's listed as shell pink. Definitely more emphasis on the pink:

A classic automotive paint color, PPG 'gingernipple'. Big in the '60s in the hot rod/kustom scene.

But yeah, it's shell pink.

P.S. There used to be a beige Fender color that was very flesh toned. I had a 1960 Musicmaster painted in it. So ugly it was kinds cool.

I think that was called "desert sand" - I used to have a duo-sonic in that color

Maybe it's salmon pink? Sorry, salmon pink was actually a nickname given to fiesta red when it faded over time. Like this Relic.

I think it's a Made In Japan, Flamingo Pink, Hybrid 60's Strat. Like one person said before, the stage lights are probably messing with the true colour.

No, it's not, maybe she has two. One pink one and one that other colour. Maybe it's B-Stock. She got a deal cuz the Shell Pink wasn't tinted quite right! Haha.
I think the Bass player has one of them Capri Orange P/J Mustangs? Cool.
Capri Orange was an international Custom Color in 1981.

yeah good call, I had a search to see any markings and if you zoom in here you can see where Japan put the serial number near the neck heel on her guitar.

I have a Shell Pink bass everyone thought was white when I was using a bright pink strap, and everyone thought (knew?) was pink when I switched to a white one (they were faux fur straps... those get quite musty after a very short while!)

There was a late '70s-early '80s International Series colour called Sahara Taupe - a sort of chocolate malt hue.

Cool - a late '65 with pops. May have been one of the first Fender basses with a pearl pg (if it's original). CBS owned Fender by mid year '65 so that's a real transition example.

That's Sahara Taupe from the 1981 International Custom Colors Chart. Nice! Cool colours on that chart.
