The old church band I was in was always wished we could bust this one out, but the pastor seemed to think certain Olde Guard sticks in the mud among the congregants would get upset.
What if you would have played it like the original version of the song? It was a gospel song.

I just rented, "The Jesus Music" movie on Amazon LINK: The Jesus Music (2021) - IMDb which is a documentary on the CCM/P&W music movement that started in California in the 60's. It did not cover the song. I highly recommend the movie for anyone interested in the genre.
