I use HARTKE Nickel roundwounds. I can buy a 3 set for $33 delivered to the door and thats for fivers! They feel fairly close to Roto's and last just as long. I can afford to change strings more often and don't go in debt! I'm always looking for a bargain on Ebay!
I string my 83 Precision and US Hartke L2500 with Hartkes.

Ernie Ball roundwounds (i'm sorry, i haven't got more info on them because i brought it at my local bass shop to put new strings on it, next time i'll do it myself, since it'll teach me more about strings) on my EBMM Stingray 2eq

I guess it depens on the song calls for!
1.My 82' Gibson Victory sounds great with the S.H. Rotosound FLATS
2.I put on beefy EB Power Slinkys 55-75-90-110 on my gsr200
3. My olp mm wannabe has D'adds Light gauge Prosteels for guess?:smug: Yep!

I really love D' Addario XL nickel & prosteels for performance, value & of course sound.

DR Lo-Rider Medium 5 string w/125..

They came with my Pavel Jazz Pro 5 Deluxe bass. And I instantly feel in love with them just after our 1 hour show.

I do want to try some other great strings, but for now it's DR Lo-Rider all the way!
