I have been playing on a 4 string Schecter Stiletto for about 5 years and I am just now becoming concerned about finding the right strings for the bass and to fit my style. I play a lot of slap and neo soul. Any Suggestions?
Lately, I 've put Roto FM 66's on a few of my basses, a P bass and a Schecter 6 . I also have used the Bootzilla DW strings (coated) which seem to be working and sounding ok.......
I have been using the very same bass almost for 8 years, and used:
1. DR Hi beams
2. Rotosound 66
3. LaBella Deep Talkin Bass flats
4. DR Black Beauties
Seems that both the DR brings the great tone of the bass to the front. I've liked the Black Beauties the most. YMMV
I just changed my strings on My Schecter Stiletto and put on DR Black Beauties and its like having a new bass around they are fantastic.. Tremendous sound and response..
