What model Fernandez is this???

Saw this locally and I'm very intrigued...does anyone know what model and it's reputation??

I've never played one but I like the pickup placement. That thing can be made to sound great. You're going to get great mids and definition like that. I like the off white too. Very classy color. Reminds me of the good ole days when basses didn't all sound the same and we had guys pushing for new tones instead of how everyone is trying to recreate the same old pbass tones from 50 years ago.

From my research, it looks to be an APB-5
but the bridge on the one you posted looks like it might have been replaced…and perhaps the preamp as well. Those look like the knobs that come with the Duncan STC3 preamp

That definitely looks like it. I agree the bridge is different and it seems that the pickups are Bartollinis?...plus the E and B is airing thru ?

I believe Robert Trujillo from Metallica/Infectious Grooves/Suicidal Tendencies plays that model on occasion.
I know he recorded the 2008 Metallica album with one of them and has at least two in his live rotation.

I realize it’s not exactly the same model but I’d imagine the one local to you is an affordable version of the same shape/pickup layout.
All the Fernandes basses I’ve tried have been pretty solid for the money so I’d definitely reccomend you check it out if you’re wanting a 5 string, JJ pickup layout.
