Question about a Precision pickup....
I bought a pickup listed as Fender Original'63 (and other parts to build a bass), but apparently that there’s no such thing. As far as I can tell Fender made Orginial'62s and CS’62s and PureVintage'63s, Is there really an Original'63?
The 62s have a resistance spec of 10.5K and the 63s spec 12K. Mine is 11.1K!
Is there a way to tell for sure what I have?
In the likely event that I resell the assembled bass I want to have it right.
I guess the main thing is that it sounds pretty much like I thought it would.
