I think the Walkabout will go down ti 2ohms comfortably, so even if I wanted to double up the cabs, I think it would handle it. I also have a Schroeder 212BMF, so not screwed x2.

What really do you gain by going with a 4ohm vs 8ohm single cab?

I think the Walkabout will go down ti 2ohms comfortably, so even if I wanted to double up the cabs, I think it would handle it. I also have a Schroeder 212BMF, so not screwed x2.
The head might handle it, but you'll be pushing the 4 ohm twice as hard as the 8 ohm cab, so it mightn't.
Thank you for that info Mr. Packer, I am really disappointed in all the people that complain that the Walkabout isn't loud enough or doesn't push enough Watts. Now that I know it goes down to 2 Ohms I will tell them to get more cabs!

Mesa does not recommend you use it at 2 ohms, so there might be some warranty issues there. I don't think it puts out any more watts at 2 than 4. Some users have reported no issues running it at 2.
