I'm way faster on a 30 inch than I am on a 34.

All the basses I have ever owned have been 34". Just feels right to me.

I prefer 35" because it just feels more comfortable to play.

34" seems most comfortable to me, but I was very surprised to find my buddy's 35" Roscoe felt very comfy for me. I think so much has to do with the rest of the ergonomics. My Ken Smith feels a bit long b/c of where it sits on my leg... feels perfect on a strap.

I was long-scale or die until I bought an Allen Woody a couple years back. Comfy and thumpy. Want very much now to try a Reverend Dub King and a Lakland 30. The Woody's my main player, but whenever I play my 77 P, it feels like going home.

I voted 34" and as to why, honestly, it's because that's what I own. I have tried a few different scales but never seriously found a bass in shorter or longer scale that I wanted to buy.

Lakland Skyline 5502 (35"). I love this bass. The tension is slightly tighter than my 34" basses and is noticeable on the low B string, which my right hand likes. I don't notice any difference fretting, which my left hand likes.

I have never tried a fanned fret bass, but I think I'd be into it.

34" cuz its the first and only bass I have, still love it though! And I may try out a 33" when I get the funds for a new bass

I'm on a 35" scale now because 32" scale 6 strings are hard to find without going custom. However, I've grown to love the longer scale as it really does give some room to move around...

No choice for me. I play a 34" scale 4 string and a 35" scale 5 string.

I have a heavy technique and prefer the tighter 35" scale B

Otherwise scale length has nothing to do with the bass I want.

I have a 35" 6 strings and 34" 4 strings. Comfort is more important than specs. I sold my Rick because of that.

I've made the most money on a 34" (Fender) but I have to say my Modulus Q6 is my fav, its home for me.
