What song to learn after What is hip???

did someone say "fingerfunk".... someone already mentioned Jaco, but i'd specifically say "The Chicken", as played by him. It is a fingerfunk masterpiece, complete with doublestops and hip substitute dominants. Also, it is nicely transcribed in a number of books, though I'd say for the complete lesson, transcribe it yourself!

Also, a number of pieces by Gary Willis would be good for fingerfunk practice.

Good luck.

I missed the word 'funk' in the OP but did find it many posts later. Forget Rush then..

Nah, never forget Rush! Geddy is one of the most unique bassists of all time, and no one can hurt their playing by copping his stuff. I have applied some of his stuff in applications that were decidedly "un-rush" with great results!

I really don`t know what to learn after this, I`ve passed the whole month playing it and after some hours per week I nail the tune note per note and with a nice and consisten groove.
What song do you recomend me to learn???
I would like something I can read I always like to read when practising and perhaps if you share your experience I get new ideas of what you learn after what is hip.

Luciano Berio's "Sequenza XIVb"
