What strings be these?

I bought this bass used and didn't think to ask the seller what strings he had on it. Now it's time for new ones, but I want a point of reference (as in what am I changing from). Any idea what these are?

If the silk wrap is only on the headstock end then its probably GHS Bass Boomers or Fender Super Bass.

If the silk is on both ends then it is probably Rotosound, however the strings dont look grey enough to be Roto's.

Well, look--it really doesn't matter. Unless you have developed a love for a particular brand and type of string, just get a set of medium gauge roundwounds (unless you wanna try flats) from any major brand and you'll be fine. I suggest 45-105 gauges in either nickel or stainless. Stainless sounds a little brighter. Don't sweat it too much, really.

I'm not sweating it, I'm just trying to learn a bit more about strings. I've tried Hi-Beams and Hybrid Slinkys on my other bass and I can definitely tell which ones I'd want for what sound. Just want to know what is on my Fender now so I add to my string knowledge a bit and make an educated decision about my next set.
