What to see/to do in LA-SF-LV?

Jan here (from Big John Effects Belgium)...
Hope all is going well... How's the Granny Puker pedal?

I just booked a road trip to LA- San Francisco- Las Vegas and some national parks in California...

It would be interesting that you (and other TB members) can describe in a couple of words what to do/to see over there from a non-touristique point of view?!
