what was I thinking?!

I LOVE playing the bass but occasionally I think about playing guitar. It's because there are so few guitarists in my area who want to play a wide variety of music that is not "lead centered" or aren't as reliable or dedicated as I think they should be. I even placed an order for a guitar/case/accessories etc....then quickly cancelled the order. I came to the realization that some of us are not only content with playing the bass but truly enjoy holding down the bottom end. Anyone else ever think about switching to guitar, or is it just me?

I don't think about "switching" to anything, I just keep adding. I've always played guitar also, but not as well, trying to remedy that (by practicing more to get better at both). I find that practice either way does make me better on the other instrument, as I'm more aware of what's going on harmonically.

I've always primarily been a bass player.
I like to dabble with recordings, so playing a bit of guitar and keyboards helps me make them happen.

I have several guitars... basses too
