Gone: Empress Superdelay
Coming: Robot Factory 'Photron Phaser' filter!!

The mp201 I got a few days ago is amazing. The sample & hold (and other waveforms) is great and works well on the Grinder as well, making my decision to sell the Gyroscope and Prometheus easier. I really like the spacy sound of the Prometheus in its standard envelope following mode, but it's a little subtle, and now that I have the mp201, I think all the filters without exp input are getting the boot.

From the clips Ive heard of the Photron filter, I think it will cop that spacey vibe and then some, in which case the Prometheus is definitely going. I'm going to list the Gyro after I get a chance to record some clips of the Gyro, Prometheus, MF101, and Grinder in sample&hold mode.

Gone: Bass Blogger

Coming: Still waiting for the Mail Order Muff. Ryan's been keeping me in the loop on the build progress so it's all good.

Also, I'm going to start my delay hunt when my tax return comes in.

I've been really interested in the Photron, but haven't heard any clips on bass. I'm looking forward to hearing your thoughts on it.

The mp201 is something I've looked at briefly, but the adcopy paints it as being so flexible that I'm having trouble picturing specific applications. How is yours connected to your gear and what do you use it for?

I've had it a few days and I've been plugging it into everything. Right now it's going into the Cutoff of the 101, sweep of the 103, lfo/sweep of the bass murf, and into the HOG. I've been playing around with controlling the sweep of the phaser and cutoff of the lpf at the same time with various waveforms (s&h +lpf with high resonance for R2D2 talk, and then click the s&h-phaser on as well for underwater R2D2), controlling the two 6stage phasers in the 103 at the same time- regular phasing+reverse phasing at teh same time, pitch tremolo on the HOG and other interesting HOG waveforms... sample&hold grinder, momentary gate switch for boss slicer-esque cutouts.. etc

It works with all my pedals that have exp input, and it can control them at the same time. Im just barely scratching the surface and Im blown away... I have lots of idea's for this thing that will just take tme and programming, but I think it will be great for live use as well- being able to recall and store presets! I'm going to try and midi sync it to ableton for tonights jam as I haven't tried the midi functionality yet.

Im not sure it's possible yet, but I've been trying to figure out how I can control the cutoff center of a fixed rate lfo-- Hopefully I can do that, and have patches set up for quick switching between a tap tempo'd or midi synched slow and double timed lfo's, as well as the expressor- to switch up the modulation during songs. The footswitches and display make it easy to quickly switch between patches.

Anyway I really like it so far, the user interface is quite friendly and it works great with my non moog pedals and moogs alike. Best thing I've done in a while was sell gear that I wasn't using to buy this!

The photron just shipped today, so I'll be sure to post some clips once i've had a chance to play with it for a couple days.. can't wait! It was listed on thegearpage, so I made a quick sale of the Superdelay and snagged the photron, which I'll get a lot more use out of. I made a few bucks off the Superdelay, so that helped soften the blow a little bit :D

Out:
Overhauling the collection. Getting rid of most of my non-diy stuff. Most of my is BJF going, mammoth gone not too long ago.

In:
Working out a bug in a transaction from a while ago, should be getting things rolling again soon (hopefully). And, one more order with a bunch of parts is n the way so I'm set for a while!

Out: Behringer MDX 2600, SR800 pickups, GK Backline 600, MIM Jazz
In: Sansamp RBI, QSC RMX1450, Modded MIM Precision to P/P, EMG P/J and BQC for the Japanese SR800, DBX 166A, Boss GEB-7 for mid boosting on the P/P (this is going to sound huge)
Huge amount of ebaying, trading, and modding lately.

Out: Krank Krankenstein amp and cab

Selling it for a friend who owes me $1000. Looks like I can get about $1900 for the amp and cab shipped. Guitar Center offered $1700. Which I'm thinking about taking, because it will cost about $200 to ship a tube amp and 412, if not more. What should I do. I really don't want to deal with the hassle of shipping that beast.
