What's happening to my tone?

I play an Ibanez SR505 through an Ampeg B2R and Avatar B210 Cabs (1 or 2 depending on the situation). Recently, my tone seems to be going to the *****! I am running a Boss Compressor - there may be an issue with a low battery in either that or my bass. I'll trouble shoot those.

However, my tone seems to be OK - and then when we play as a band, it sounds really harsh. The rythmn guitar just started using some slight distortion. Anyway, could there be an issue of the distortion of the guitars impacting the tone of my bass? Thoughts, suggestions?

Solo tone isn't band tone. Increase low-mids, and decrease everything else.

The tone you prefer alone may not be the best tone in a band situation..... I know mine isn't....

+1.. You need to find your Sonic Space within the band.
It'll be slightly different with each room, venue & situation you face.
Thats a part of what sound checks are for.

All instruments will impact your fit in the mix, so yes, if the rhythm guitar player has changed his tone then you (and everyone else) will sound different in the mix. Just remember, the goal is to make the band sound good.
