I want to here what everyone else has in their racks. My bass rack is a little excessive and I know that, but I like it and I have no issues transporting it so it works.

order goes
Furman < Line6 G90 < AKG MINI not in use, backup < Sabine Tuner < Sansamp RBI < BBE Sonic Max < DBX 266XL < Rane ME30B < Open Space < 3 Space Drawer

all this goes into a Ampeg 450h into a Ampeg 810e

(If you have any suggestions on a different order to run these in let me know)

Rack #1:

Carvin B1500, with a fDeck HPF-3 tucked in the back through the effects loop.

Rack #2

ART PC II -> HFP-3 in one of the loops -> Crest ProLite 3.0

IMHO:

Power conditioners are a waste. Hugely expensive, with no more function than a good sugre protector. I would ditch it. Same with the rack tuner. If it works for you cool, not worth it to me, ditch it. BBE sonic maximizer? Ditch it...

I got the Furman for $15

The Rack tuner works for me, and it has a footswitch so I can mute

and the BBE I got for free.

I like the idea of turning on my wireless and plugging one chord in and being done with set up. A lot of the venues I play at have a 7min loan on 7min load off policy. So I need to be fast and not take forever.

If you are not worried about the schlep then more power to you.

I understand about the quick load in. Its one of the reasons I dont try to add to many items to my signal chain. Should anything fail it would eliminate the number of things to check.

I pull the power stip out of the back of the rack and plug it in, connect one speaker cable, plug in my bass, and Im good to go. Then I shake my head at the guitar player with his pedal board.

Schelp? Yeah when something fails its never fun, great way to get aggravated really fast. I dont feel like the BBE does anything for me, its kinda just sitting there because i've just never pulled it out. Same with the Rane too actually, the Sansamp eq's pretty well for me.

Im usually the first one set up, besides the singer. I have played guitar in a lot of bands as well as bass, and I always hated lugging around my pedal board.

Actually played with a band a few months back and the guitarists each had a pedal board with 30+ effects on it and the bassist had prob 20. I see no need for that, I was watching them and most of their effects never even got touched. Not to mention they took up 1/3 of the stage

We dont have to set up a PA, that's already at the venue. We usually play with 4-7 other bands

Our drummer uses a custom Orange County D&P 4 piece kit with hi hat, 2 crash, splash, ride and a china and we set up off stage so all we have to do it pick up and move it.

We have loading unloading down to a science

I use to have crazy stuff! 3200 watts into 2 avatar 4x10.
Ridiculous right??? Punk bands and rock bands.

Anyways, I've downsized since my high school years.

I use to split my signal. Top cab got mids and treble and bottom cab was dedicated to bass or low frequencies.

Now I have two racks. One is dedicated to studio and other for live gigs.

I will be replacing this setup with a GK 4x12.
