-Structure-Terri Lynn Carrington(w/ Adam Rogers, Jimmy Haslip, Greg Osby)...2 Yellowjackets(TLC/Haslip) with 2 M-basers(Osby/Rogers). Enough odd time/beat displacement grooves to make even Don Ellis blush.
-Calypso's Smile-Joseph Jarman/Don Moye/Okon Essiet...sax/drums/URB & elec bass.
No piano/chords required.

Two "Punk" recommendations from the UK's "Bass" mag-
-Tin Drum-Japan(Mick Karn on bass). From '81?! I missed out on these guys the first time around. Not really "Punk", IMO.
-Reasons To Be Cheerful-Ian Dury & The Blockheads. From '77?!?! Again, this is "Punk"?!
