What's on your G.A.S list and why?

I'm tempted to grab an Ampeg PF 115HE to replace my SVT15Es. I don't really need the big pile anymore. I plan to sell off a couple basses and cabs before I do

Should be title things I will probably never see locally... not that I need another bass either so guess it helps. I like shorties with 2x2 head..so always looking out for one I havent played in person.

Hagstrom swede - all the switches and push/pull knobs.

Eastwood Univox - have their jetsons jr pbass. Do the p90s give enough tonal change vs what I have?

Musicvox Space Cadet - looks unique. Just wonder how it sounds.

Wattplower - love mike watt (even if it's not 2x2 head).

Supra Huntington - another unique looking shorty. Bonus that headstock is reverse shape to my jetsons.

For me it would be a 5 string Music man bass. I have Fender P's and J's (4 and 5 strings). A Lakland 55-02, a rickenbacker, and a fret less bass but no Music Man Stingray 5.

The elusive short scale TBX NT Modulus. Would pretty much sell my children for this one. Checks every box!

Aria Pro II TSB 650. One without a warped neck or weak pickup. Checks almost every box!

PS: I wouldn't sell my children. But I'd think about selling my house.

Strandberg Boden - Love the headless design, dual sitting position body, and light weight.

Torzal (any model) - Fascinated by the ergonomic twisted neck/body design.

NS Design Radius CR (or) WAV (or) Ibanez Affirma - Want a fretted bass with piezo pickup.

Rob Allen Mouse - Want a short-scale fretless.

Fender Aerodyne - Light weight, fast neck, good-looking, PJ.

Trace Elliot Transit B since I don't want to lug my TE head around all the time.

A Halo Guitars custom 5 string bass that essentially mimics the specs of a Dingwall Afterburner.

Thinking about a Mesa Subway head (D-800 or WD-800, not sure yet) and a 2 X 10 of some flavor.

Why? Because GAS.

My G.A.S. list is strange. I don't gig, so I have no "need" for any of this. Maybe I'm more of a collector.

• Acoustic Bass - Because I don't have one. No specific make/model in mind, just something affordable and decent.
• Ibanez Mikro - Super short scale seems funny and somewhat interesting. Plus, I'd love to have one so my grandkids can plunk on it. Used ones seem to sell for new prices, which is insane. I'm still looking.
• Ibanez Soundgear of some sort - I've had several of these over the years and I've literally regretted selling every one of them. For me, they play super nice. So I'd like to find another one and hang on to this one. Again, used would be best so I can do with it as I wish.

1) A custom U.S. made Spector NS2.

I have 3 of their Czech made basses and they are phenomenal instruments. Superbly crafted, beautiful, great sounding. I can't imagine them being any better.

Yet, those who have custom U.S. basses (or even the not so custom U.S. made Forte line) rave about how much better THOSE are.

2) Ibanez SR Prestige

I've definitely converted to Spector but I still want one of the Japanese made Prestige SRs.

One thing only,Fender bassman TV.I need one with euro power,no one will sell it localy for any price(I tried) and no one will ship it(well some one agreed if ill pay 800$ shipping).

BTW the Torzal looks insane!I thought twisted necks are thrown away or if its vintage an effort is made to straighten them out.

My non-bass list is much longer, and of no particular interest to most of this crowd.

I'm trying like heck to keep things off my GAS list. I'd love a new Jazz, a 77 or 80 Rick 4001, a 4HH Stingray, a Telecaster bass with the big old mudbucker-style pickup, all kinds of stuff. But it's time for me to say no to these things. I've bought enough stuff in my life and it's time to just play the nice things I do have.
